McMaster Global – Event Submission Form

The 3rd annual McMaster Global (November 2 to 13, 2020) is a series of global themed online events and activities designed to:

  • Showcase McMaster University’s global engagement activities,
  • Promote interdisciplinary dialogue about global issues, and
  • Foster a community of global citizenship

McMaster Global events and activities have included lectures, workshops, panel discussions, research posters, presentations, information fairs, and more. Last year McMaster Global included 40+ workshops, seminars, lectures, food and cultural events hosted over 18 days open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni and community

McMaster Global includes International Education Week (IEW) (November 2 to 6, 2020) celebrating the global programs, international communities, and shared values that make up the fabric of our institution.

International Education Week (November 2 - 6, 2020)

McMaster Global is proud to include International Education Week (IEW) as part of its global showcase. International Education Week is an annual celebration held in over 100 countries around the world highlighting the importance international education plays in furthering our social, economic, and cultural well-being. The Office of International Student Services has hosted International Education Week events on campus since 2012. Events held during McMaster’s International Education Week are student-facing, celebrating the global programs, international communities, and shared values that make up the fabric of our institution. Past IEW events have included the annual student exchange fair, language café, and cultural potluck, in addition to information sessions on International Experience Canada, AIESEC, WUSC, etc.

A McMaster Global signature event is defined by the following criteria:

(1). 100+ attendees expected (2). Supports 1 or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (3). Fosters interdisciplinary collaboration
Approved McMaster Global signature events will not overlap with other McMaster Global signature events. The McMaster Global organizing committee will follow up with signature event organizers to assist with promotions/communications in advance of McMaster Global
