Title: Can the higher education experience and environment be inclusive without students engaged in deciding how?
The webinar will focus on the critical role of student involvement in shaping the inclusivity of the higher education experience. Building on the success of our 2023 Student Essay Competition, MCO is launching a new call for essays from university students worldwide. This year, MCO invites students to take the lead as coordinators of their study programs, reflecting on how access to education can be made more inclusive, with diversity and equity at its core.
The Magna Charta Universitatum MCU2020 emphasizes the responsibility of universities in addressing barriers to access and ensuring fairness in academic study. The webinar aims to advocate for greater student participation in shaping the higher education landscape, highlighting the need for their voices to be heard in decisions affecting inclusivity.
During the webinar, MCO will officially launch the student essay competition, furthering the discourse on inclusion and reaffirming our commitment to promoting student engagement in universities.
McMaster’s participation would greatly contribute to MCO’s collective efforts to foster inclusive higher education environments.
