The COP 29 2024 Conference will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11-22, 2024. The Office of International Affairs in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability and CMPA are exploring McMaster University’s participation and would like to hear from McMaster faculty, staff and students who have plans to attend. The Conference of Parties (COP) is a series of formal meetings where governments assess global efforts to advance the Paris Agreement and limit global warming to 1.5°C as estimated by the latest scientific data. At the COP meetings, world leaders come together to measure progress and negotiate the best ways to address Climate Change.
