Animal studies of bimodal somatosensory and auditory spike timing dependent plasticity by the Susan Shore laboratory at the University of Michigan guide application of the procedures to human tinnitus patients, using our psychoacoustic methods to measure effects on tinnitus perception. We may investigate the effects of different bimodal intervals on tinnitus suppression.
