Working with the NGO, The Lake Clinic - Cambodia, we used a train the trainer model to disseminate the HBB program to the village TBAs. In the final year of our project, we worked with researchers at Johns Hopkins University to further develop our newborn training program, and provide enhanced birth kits to the TBAs for use at home deliveries. Impact
In total we completed HBB training for 14 TBAs in 7 different floating villages. We fully developed the Khmer language newborn training module and this was also taught to the TBAs. In addition, we implemented a monthly feedback system where TBAs can have their questions answered, provide results of deliveries, and obtain new enhanced birth kits.
