Online search engines provide data on consumers' online search behaviors, which are associated with their purchase decisions. We built a prediction model and developed the relevant algorithms to predict sales in several different industries.
Impact
1. Provided a better prediction model based on online search data, which may help business practitioners forecast future sales. 2. Developed a deep understanding of consumers purchase decision process, which will help firms improve their search engine optimization and online advertising strategies.
