As the application of model theory in a variety of operator algebraic settings became more common place, there was a need to fill a hole in the existing literature. I delivered a short course on the necessary background at workshops in Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and the University of California at Irvine as well as organizing a special session on continuous model theory at the 2017 annual Association of Symbolic Logic meeting.

The notes and slides from these talks helped bridge a gap in the literature.
