We are exploring the role of topoisomerases in Streptomyces development and antibiotic production.
Impact
This work will provide insight into new ways of impacting bacterial development, and new strategies to enhance antibiotic production.
Student Experience
A post-doctoral fellow and PhD student from Poland came to work in our lab for 6 weeks this summer. Trainees in my group benefited from the expertise and the different perspectives brought by these international scientists.
