A Steering Committee was established in 2018 with McMaster and the Centre National de La Recherché Scientifique (CNRS) on the heels of an inaugural joint workshop at McMaster which broadly focused on collaborations in three areas: Pure and Applied Mathematics, Materials Science, and Theoretical Chemistry.
From this collaboration, a new fund was created through a McMaster-CNRS Fund to support international research initiatives between McMaster and CNRS-affiliated researchers.
Each winning proposal received $5,000.
