This season, the Global Health Collective podcast will feature stories, perspectives, and insights from women leaders in global health. As the voices of women are valuable in shaping how we approach global health challenges, we aim to engage in dialogue about gender equity, women empowerment, and how we can all be leaders in our own unique way. Historically, and currently, women have encountered countless challenges such as wage gaps, exclusion from leadership positions, unequal treatment, internal and external doubt, lack of workplace flexibility, and having fewer career opportunities. Combatting global issues requires representation from all demographics to identify and support the needs of all people. Tune in as we celebrate the accomplishments of diverse female leaders in the field as they tackle these diverse global issues!
Join us for the launch of the Global Health Collective podcast happening this week as part of McMaster Global. This 4th season/1st episode launches with an inspiring, and timely discussion between Shania Bhopa, McMaster Global Health PhD candidate and Hila Taraky, McMaster University Alumni, and co-founder of Lifeline Afghanistan on the current crisis in Afghanistan, and what students, faculty, staff and our broader community can do to help.
