The IGHC and the Korean Studies Institute both have strengths in interdisciplinary studies in humanities and social sciences. The two Institutes established a partnership for academic cooperation in areas of mutual interests, such as organizing workshops, contributing to each other's journals, develop collaborative projects, and facilitating visits of faculty and graduate students to each other's Institute.

To date, the outcomes have been faculty and student exchanges between the two universities.
