University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) Visits McMaster to Strengthen Academic Partnership and Explore New Collaborations

A delegation from the University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), Morocco, visited McMaster and for two consecutive days, met with the OIA and various departments & faculties, aiming to strengthen academic ties and explore new areas of collaboration. The visit featured a presentation from UM6P Canada and a comprehensive review of ongoing international partnerships.
Key highlight of the visit was introducing UM6P’s new Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Business, which sparked engaging discussions on academic synergy and curriculum development. Discussions also focused on deepening collaboration between UM6P and McMaster’s Faculty of Science, particularly the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, with additional exploratory sessions involving the Faculties of Business and Engineering. Potential areas for joint initiatives, student exchange, and research cooperation were actively explored. During their time at McMaster, delegation also toured Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy facility.
This two day visit marked a significant step forward in fostering innovation and academic excellence through an international partnership between McMaster and UM6P.
