McMaster’s senior leadership visits the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in London, United Kingdom

Following Aga Khan University senior leaderships’ visit at McMaster University in November of this year, President David Farrar and Provost Susan Tighe alongside other senior leaders from McMaster University, visited the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC) in London engaging in meaningful discussions with AKU and Aga Khan Development Network leaders about shared priorities in global engagement, education, and research.
AKU-ISMC is a leading institution in higher education dedicated to advancing research, publications, graduate studies, and public discourse on the historical and contemporary roles of Muslims globally. Their approach encompasses the rich and diverse nature of Muslim civilisations within the broader spectrum of world cultures and societies. These academic pursuits are organised into Digital Scholarship, and three geographically focused knowledge domains: The Indian Ocean, Iran and Central Asia, and The Mediterranean.
