McMaster welcomes U21 delegation for U21 Health Sciences Group 2025 Annual Meeting

On August 25, 2025, McMaster University welcomed Universitas 21 (U21) delegates Prof. Jenny Dixon, Provost, and Catherine Lemon, Projects Officer, as part of the U21 Health Sciences Group 2025 Annual Meeting.
A diverse leading global network of 30 universities spanning 6 continents, U21 promotes research excellence, international engagement, and global collaboration. Education innovation, student experience, and research engagement are at the heart of its commitment to knowledge-sharing across borders. As a long-standing member of U21, McMaster welcomed Prof. Jenny Dixon and Catherine Lemon to discuss existing and future collaborations between the institutions.

Discussions focused on global learning and mobility, institutional support, existing and future opportunities for network-wide research collaboration, and opportunities for international education and academic development. The day proved a productive and exciting development in McMaster and U21’s relationship, exploring next steps to further McMaster’s role within the global network.

McMaster University was inducted as a U21 member in 2018. Since then, McMaster has actively participated in U21-led events, including competitions, project and research collaboration, and knowledge-exchange. McMaster is currently hosting the U21 Health Sciences Group 2025 Annual Meeting until August 28. This year’s theme is “Aging Across the Lifespan,” involving programming surrounding priorities and opportunities in aging research and education.
