McMaster Welcomes the University of Chichester, UK

McMaster University welcomed James Wright, Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Accountancy and Finance at the University of Chichester, UK, on October 31, 2025, for a focused day of partnership building and knowledge exchange.

The visit began with a joint meeting involving the Office of International Affairs, the International and Exchange Student Experience, and the DeGroote School of Business. Discussions centered on collaboration in overall student mobility, student experiences, accountancy, finance, with McMaster’s delegation including Paul Leegsma, Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects, Office of International Affairs, Yuka Kawano McPhee, Project Officer, Office of International Affairs, Michael Adebo, Project Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives, DeGroote School of Business and Michael Lafleur, Global Learning Coordinator, Student Success Centre- International and Exchange Student Experience. —all focused on program strengths and partnership opportunities.

A networking lunch offered deeper conversation about student support and international exchange, joined by Dr. Susan McCracken, chair (Acting), Accounting and Financial Management Services and Christopher Longtin, Manager, Strategic Initiatives, and other staff. The emphasis remained on enhancing student success initiatives and exploring opportunities on academic pathways between the two institutions.
