Members of McMaster’s Department of Kinesiology recently joined researchers from around the world at the 31st European College of Sport Science Congress (ECSS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, sharing research across sport, exercise and health while earning international recognition for their work.
McMaster students, trainees, faculty, alumni and collaborators contributed to international symposia, participated in evidence-based discussions and built new connections across the fields of physical activity, exercise physiology, sport nutrition and health.
The congress also brought recognition for two members of the McMaster community. Dominique Greyvenstein received the Dominique Greyvenstein received the GSSI Sport Nutrition Award, while Alysha D’Souza received a Young Investigator Award.
Participation in ECSS 2026 provided opportunities for McMaster researchers to exchange knowledge with international colleagues and build connections across the sport and exercise science community.
The European College of Sport Science Congress (ECSS) is a major international gathering in sport and exercise science, bringing together researchers and practitioners to share emerging research and developments across the field.
McMaster’s presence in Lausanne reflects the international reach of its kinesiology research community and the contributions its researchers are making to conversations on health, physical activity, performance and sport science.
