McMaster Hosts a Delegation from the Caribbean Development Bank and the Ontario Regional Office of the Trade Commissioner Service
McMaster University recently welcomed delegations from the Caribbean Development Bank and the Ontario Regional Office of the Trade Commissioner Service. The visit featured a tour of McMaster’s nuclear reactor and included discussions on sustainable energy, environmental protection, business, and public banking and public policy. The primary aim is to strengthen partnerships and cooperation to support Caribbean development goals.
Facilitated by McMaster’s Office of International Affairs in collaboration with several university professors from diverse Faculties and disciplines, the discussions highlighted the university’s active collaborations in global engagement and sustainability within the Caribbean region. This includes the 3rd Annual Canada Caribbean Institute (CCI) Research Symposium from Oct 17-19th entitled “Climate Crisis, Resilience, and Alternative Energy Sources” that is organized and hosted by McMaster University canadacaribbeaninstitute.org/call-for-papers/.
