McMaster hosts a delegation from Costa Rica

On March 19, 2025, McMaster welcomed a delegation from Costa Rica, thanks to the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER). The group included key representatives: Mr. Kevin Villalta, Trade Commissioner for PROCOMER Canada; Ms. Tatiana Berrios, Outreach Coordinator & International Partnerships at UWC Costa Rica; Ms. Hellen Rojas, from ILISA Educational Experiences (specializing in Language Training, Cultural Trips, and Teaching Abroad); Dr. Alejandra Barahona, Executive Director at LCI Education Study Abroad, Universidad LCI Veritas; Ms. Valeria Jimenez, CIPSS International Advisor and Marketing Assistant at Universidad LCI Veritas; and Ms. Valeria Sanchez, Business Development at PROCOMER Costa Rica.
During their visit, the delegation had a chance to meet with McMaster’s team from the Office of International Affairs (OIA), the Student Success Centre, and the Registrar’s Office Recruitment, Communication & Outreach. They received an overview of McMaster University and learned about the various programs we offer, including undergraduate, graduate, summer, and short-term options. The Costa Rican delegation also shared details about the programs available in their respective institutions, covering topics like Spanish immersion, green technologies, sustainability and environment, health, arts, and business. The visit ended with a tour of the campus.
