McMaster Deepens Strategic Collaboration with French Embassy During 2026 Campus Visit

McMaster University welcomed a delegation from the French Embassy and Consulate General on January 7, 2026, for discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in research, innovation, and academic mobility. The visit began with a meeting hosted by the Office of International Affairs to explore shared strategic priorities.
The delegation also met with the Office of the Vice President for Research to discuss deepening research collaboration. McMaster highlighted its interdisciplinary approach, while the delegation outlined France’s expanding investment research and opportunities for joint supervision, workshops, and participation in European research frameworks.
The visit reinforced McMaster’s long-standing partnerships with French higher education institutions, with discussions focusing on expanding student mobility, dual-degree pathways, and interdisciplinary engagement across the humanities and sciences.
