Four McMaster Faculty Members Earn Micro-Credential Through the U21 Global Leadership Programme

Four McMaster faculty members completed the U21 Global Leadership Programme and earned Micro-Credential. The U21 Global Leadership programme reflects real dynamic challenges faced by U21 universities and explores the leadership required to meet those challenges – as individuals, as institutions and as a sector. During the 4-week online programme, Four McMaster leaders connected with their peers around the world to share challenges and discuss diverse approaches in international education.
“The U21 Global Leadership Program was a unique and energizing experience. It provided an opportunity to connect with higher education leaders from around the world, revealing how deeply interconnected our goals and challenges truly are. The program included informative content complemented by opportunities to engage in small group discussions which were especially valuable, offering space for reflection and meaningful exchange. I left the program with renewed energy and new ideas that I’ve already started applying in my role at McMaster.” stated Deborah DiLiberto, Assistant Professor, Medicine, and Director, Global Health Graduate Program.
“The U21 Global Leadership Programme was an incredible experience. The structure of the programme allowed me to connect with others around the world who are facing similar challenges, to work through solutions, and develop a network of support. I am very grateful for the opportunity.” emphasized Dr.Trish Ruebottom , Associate Professor, Human Resources & Management.
Other participants included Dr. Marjan Alavi, Assistant Professor, W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology, and Dr.Gillian Ruth Goward, Associate Dean, Faculty of Science.
