Calling all party poopers: UNU-INWEH is hosting a ‘poop cafe’ bake sale to bring attention to the global sanitation crisis on World Toilet Day. Worldwide, 4.2 billion people live without “safely managed sanitation” and around 673 million people practise open defecation. Please join us on World Toilet Day to break the taboo and own your (porcelain) throne by talking openly about global and local sanitation concerns. All proceeds of the cash only fundraiser will benefit the One Drop Foundation, a Canadian NGO that has worked with local communities and governments to improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in 13 countries.
Hosted by: United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH)
