What is ‘Inclusive Internationalization’ and why is it important? How can new and emerging leaders in international education enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion goals while meeting internationalization objectives? How do we bring greater acknowledgement to the experience of racialized international students, and ensure a welcoming and supportive environment amidst the challenges amplified by COVID-19, including the increase of anti-Asian racism? How do we ensure more inclusive exchange experiences for student groups who have been less represented in international mobility programs such as indigenous, racialized students, students with disability, students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, and mature students? Can Internationalization at Home (IaH) address gaps left by the traditional study abroad? This panel discussion will explore the intersection of internationalization with diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI).
