The primary goal of the project was to evaluate the Niños Sanos program implemented in Lecheria, Dominican Republic; specifically, to look at improvements in children's readiness to learn at entry to school. The secondary goal of the project was to validate the use of the EDI in the Dominican Republic.
Impact
The project evaluated the impact of the Niños Sanos program, providing information on the benefits of the increased investment in early child health and development.
Student Experience
Students had the opportunity to assist with various aspects of the project, such as data analyses, literature reviews, and creation of technical reports. This opportunity helped to inform students’ understanding of international partnerships while furthering their research skills.
