This project examines questions about the growing presence of voters of immigrant origin for political inclusion, electoral mobilization and competition, as well as representational activities in the legislatures of established democracies. I am on the Advisory Board, and have contributed research and publications.
Impact
Publication of collected volume, journal articles, and working papers. Creation of a comparative data set covering France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and United Kingdom.
Student Experience
Students introduced to an international network of scholars. One PhD student in the Netherlands has visited McMaster for 3 months, to work on a collaborative project with Dr. Bird.
