A forward genetic approach was taken to recover mutants that cause excessive cell proliferation in C. briggsae worms. Many genes have been identified. These are reported in Sharanya et al. (Evol & Dev, 2015) paper. Further characterization of novel genes and their mechanism of action is being investigated.
