The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematics organizes summer research programmes for undergraduates. For the summers 2011 - 2014, Ilijas Farah and I organized a project in each of these summers. It involved 23 students from around the world and produced 3 journal publications.
Impact
The primary outcome was the learning experience for the students. They were able to learn material that was not available anywhere else and work on real research projects. Secondarily, 3 publications were produced.
Student Experience
Students both from McMaster and from around the world participated and learned material that was not available anywhere else. They worked on current research problems and in three cases produced publishable results.
