This is an academic educational relationship. McMaster faculty have supported the undergraduate internal medicine training program at the University of Namibia through 1) Curriculum development (internal medicine, pathophysiology, HIV and TB) 2) Supported research projects through mentoring students 3) Evaluation design and implementation (written exams and OSCE) 4) Clinical bedside teaching As well this year we were able to bring the first Namibian medical student to Canada to train on our internal medicine clinical teaching unit.
Impact
Because of this collaboration we have started to graduate the first medical students in the history of the country of Namibia.
