A multi-centre randomized controlled 2 arm study in post-menopausal women receiving adjuvant letrozole for early stage breast cancer that involves a core phase consisting of an intervention program that will last two years for each individual patient and a follow-up phase during which patients are followed for an estimated 4-6 additional years for disease free survival and secondary outcomes.
Impact
To evaluate the effect of the addition of a standardized, individualized, lifestyle intervention (telephone and mail-based) focusing on weight management, to a mail-based educational intervention addressing general health and healthy living, on disease free survival, locoregional recurrence, distant recurrence, new primary breast cancer including contralateral breast cancer and death in postmenopausal women with hormonal receptor positive breast cancer.
