It is known that the real field expanded by each of the Riemann zeta function on (1,+∞) and by the Euler Gamma function on (0,+∞) is o-minimal, but the question whether their amalgamation is o-minimal remains open. Our goal is to show that the latter is true.
Impact
Answering this question is a testing ground for various ideas related to Hilbert's 16th problem, which has remained open for almost 120 years.
