The International Summer Institute afforded the opportunity for the Arts & Science Program to engage 2 undergraduate students, 2 alumni, and the Director in the development of enhanced international study programming for its students currently participating in—or contemplating—academic exchange as well as programming to bring exchange participants together in fruitful learning with those who have not studied abroad.
Impact
The Arts & Science Program is developing programming that will not only enrich the experience of Arts & Science undergraduates who study abroad (up to 20% of our Level III cohort), but also contribute to institutional commitments to internationalization and global engagement.
Student Experience
The International Summer Institute allowed the Arts & Science Program to begin engaging students, alumni, and faculty in the development of enhanced international study programming for its students currently participating in—or contemplating—academic exchange as well as programming to bring exchange participants together in fruitful learning with those who have not studied abroad. Underway is a curriculum submission that will not only enrich the experience of Arts & Science undergraduates who study abroad (up to 20% of our Level III cohort), but also contribute to institutional commitments to internationalization and global engagement.
