The University of Cincinnati have been following a cohort since they were children born in the late 1970s. A particular concern has been the effects of excessive exposure to Pb as children. For the first time we have made it possible to measure the bone Pb in these people non invasively by siting one of our measurement systems a the University of Cincinnati and training a member of their research staff to operate the system to make the bone Pb measurements.
Impact
Working with colleagues at the University of Cincinnati to assess the current exposure status of members of the "Cincinnati Lead Cohort".
Student Experience
A technologist was recruited by the University of Cincinnati and trained at McMaster. Her work is partly supervised from McMaster.
